The Bayside Business Association hosted its annual membership meeting at the Clearview Park Golf Course.
Business leaders from all arenas and areas of the Bayside business district were in attendance.
BBA president, Ed Probst, kicked off the morning presenting the 2023-2024 Board of Directors Slate and providing members and guests of the number of advances the association has made in this past year in order to provide better support and programming to our local Bayside businesses.
BBA member, Melinda Murray-Nyack, President and Founder of the Dominic A. Murray 21 Memorial Foundation (DomHeart21) presented the very first Woman of Distinction award to NYC Councilwoman Vickie Paladino for her outstanding work on behalf of the Bayside community, and the positive impact she has had on all those around her.
This year’s panel discussion, Connecting To Grow Your Business, featured four esteemed business leaders from various industries and at different stages in their business development. This year’s panelists included:

- Bert Lurch, Co-Founder and CEO of E Central Medical Management & Onet Systems LLC
- Kirstin Callahan Austin, Vice President – Helms Auto Group
- Thomas J. Grech, President & Chief Executive Officer at Queens Chamber of Commerce
As business leaders in the Bayside community, we know growing your business, creating brand awareness, and expanding your network are three of your top priorities. You are all at different points in your business cycle and have faced many challenges and opportunities; especially in the past three years. Technology is continuously changing and just when you think you have mastered creating connections through LinkedIn, TikTok comes along and you have to learn this new technology and how it can help your business grow. You faced (and survived) the setbacks a global pandemic presented but you recognize the importance of connecting face to face with the people in your community and fellow business owners in order to support your businesses growth and now you are faced with the tyranny of opportunity.
