Bayside Business Association partners with the Spirit of Huntington Art Center for a New Look and Mission
Early in 2021, the Bayside Business Association began the process of refining its mission and vision and transforming its overall look. Having such a long history as a neighborhood cornerstone, the challenge for the BBA was to maintain its impactful history, while pivoting to an expanded mission as a business networking resource.
Their new mission statement “We aim to develop a vibrant business network through advertising and education to promote the Beauty of Bayside’s Community and Culture,” speaks to a future that is current and purposedriven, with a true understanding of the entire Bayside community.
Founded in 1997, the BBA was instrumental in many of the enhancements in Bayside, beginning with annual holiday lights on Bell Boulevard and recent endeavors including providing regular donations for Covid first responders. Throughout its existence, the BBA has provided time and talent in and around the Bayside community and donated in excess of $500,000 to local Bayside businesses, residents and organizations.
The Bayside Business Association began the process to revitalize its look and mission earlier this year, choosing the Spirit of Huntington Art Center’s ARTWORKS program. ARTWORKS employs unique individuals who believe that a disability should not define what they can accomplish in life. Largely composed of individuals who have different abilities, ARTWORKS provides pre-vocational training and learning opportunities in the areas of digital art and graphic design, along with website design.
This collaboration allowed both organizations to work together to discover a revitalized mission and new corporate identity for the Bayside Business Association.
